Expert Mosquito Control In Northern Massachusetts & Southern New Hampshire

There are over 3,000 mosquito species worldwide, 200 of which are in the United States and 52 mosquito species are found in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The presence of any mosquito is dependent on the type of nearby wetland or habitat such as permanent swamps, temporary woodland pools, river flood plains, cattail swamps, or artificial containers (roadside highway drains, old rimless tires, unused swimming pools, uncovered empty trash cans, and birdbaths).

Your Master Mosquito Control technician is trained to address all these situations with you to make your yard safer. We custom blend our product solutions at every property we service. Synthetic, Organic or All-Natural. And we keep copious notes on your property as conditions can change from treatment to treatment.

Most mosquitoes are active primarily during dusk and dawn. They tend to avoid direct sunlight. Mostly they are selective about who they bite. Some feed primarily on humans and other mammals, while others mostly bite birds, amphibians (such as frogs) or reptiles (such as snakes). Those which transmit West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis include some of the most numerous species found in eastern Massachusetts. Mosquitoes also transmit animal diseases, and the probability of a pet dog or cat acquiring heartworm is not remote.

Typically the human disease risk in Massachusetts and New Hampshire becomes detectable in July or August and rises to its highest in September. If the first frost is late, the high risk continues into early October. Historically, the greatest risk is in the southeastern part of NH and northeastern portion of MA, but a disease case could turn up almost anywhere.

Inspection

No two properties are alike. The environment around your property, your landscaping, and several other factors affect the species of mosquito(es) around your yard and the size of the population. We inspect your property before performing treatment to ensure the best treatment plan that will be most effective.

Treatment

We offer several treatment options to eliminate the mosquitoes around your property. These include the following:

Regardless of the type of treatment you choose, we custom blend the product solution for your property and apply it focusing on three main areas:

  • Barrier spray. If you are up against forest or woods, we’ll go 10-15 feet into the woods for additional protection.
  • All shrubs and bushes
  • A 10 foot wide barrier of the lawn along the perimeter. (This helps to protect against ticks as well)

We’ll also keep copious notes about your property since conditions can change from treatment to treatment, and we want to make sure we are always providing you with the best service possible.

Follow-Up

Mosquitoes are a seasonal pest in New England, sometimes coming out as early as April and lasting into October. To keep them at bay the entire time they are active, we provide recurring services throughout the mosquito season:

  • For synthetic treatments, we will return to your home every 21 days to re-treat.
  • For all-natural or organic treatments, we will return to your home every 14 days to re-treat.

Our treatments also include a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If necessary, we’ll return to your property between services to re-treat at no additional charge.

Special Event Mosquito Treatments

You may not need recurring treatments in some instances, but you might have an event coming up that requires mosquito control. We offer one-time treatments for special events such as the following:

  • Weddings
  • Parties
  • Concerts
  • Barbecues

We will spray the property twice on two separate days leading up to the event to ensure your property is mosquito-free on the day of your event.
